Mendoza, Argentina is in the Andes near the border with Chile, and is in the middle of Argentina's wine-growing region. We took a public bus to Maipu to go wine tasting. We stayed in a B&B. We went white-water rafting, which was fun. The water in the Mendoza River was very cold, but that was a refreshing change from the hot weather there. The guide had us swim down a portion of the river.
