Siem Reap and Angkor (103 images)
We spent four nights at La Noria Hotel in Siem Reap. The main reason we visited Siem Reap is to see the nearby ancient city of Angkor. The biggest attraction of Angkor is Angkor Wat, the largest religious structure in the world, built around 1150 AD. We spent three days touring the ruins of Angkor: The first day in a car with a driver and a guide, the second day in a tuk tuk, and the third day on bicycles. We were lucky to be in Siem Reap for the water festival, which happens once a year. The main event is a series of rowboat races. Huge crowds of Cambodians came to see it.
