Phnom Penh (38 images)
Vietnam was wealthier than we expected it to be. Cambodia was much poorer. The streets of Phnom Penh are filled with vendors and beggars. We spent three nights at the Renakse Hotel in Phnom Penh. We toured the Royal Palace, which was amazing. We were very lucky to be here at the right time, as they only open it up to the public once a year for the king's birthday. They also had fireworks for his birthday, which attracted a large crowd of locals. We also went to two museums (one art museum and one genocide museum), and a few Wats (Buddhist temples).
