Backpacking in Desolation Wilderness, July, 2001
We went backpacking for 3 days and 2 nights in the Desolation National
Wilderness, which is near Lake Tahoe. We hiked about 5 miles to our
campsite, did a 10-mile day hike to Rubicon Lake on the second day, and hiked
out on the third day. Along the way, we saw five secluded lakes.
